Jeff received his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Regis University (Denver, CO). Prior to physical therapy school he earned a Bachelors of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from Colorado State University (Ft. Collins, CO).
Practicing since 2003, Jeff has worked in a variety of settings, but his passion has always been in outpatient orthopaedics in the private practice setting. Since completing his formal physical therapy education, he continued to develop his expertise through post graduate professional education and development becoming a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS) in 2009. In 2010 he completed his McKenzie Institute’s post graduate certification and became Certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Cert. MDT and commonly known as the McKenzie Method). He furthered his education within Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy attaining the highest credentialing within the McKenzie Institute by completing the Diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Dip. MDT) in 2016. In 2017 he completed the McKenzie Institute USA’s Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship program and was accepted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) in 2018.
In addition to his clinical duties, Jeff has given back to his profession as a clinical instructor and mentor for entry-level physical therapy students from many different physical therapy schools and is a clinical mentor for Fellows-in-Training through the McKenzie Institute USA’s Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship program. Jeff has also previously been involved in professional governance, serving on the Oregon Physical Therapy Association’s Membership Committee, Board of Directors, and has been an Oregon Delegate to the American Physical Therapy Association’s House of Delegates.
Growing up in a small mountain town in Colorado, Jeff feels most at home in the mountains. He loves to spend as much time in the outdoors as he can and enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, and skiing with his wife, Megan, and their two school aged children. He also enjoys being active in his home community of West Linn. He is an avid sports fan, playing many different sports growing up. He first became interested in physical therapy after having to rehabilitate his knee due to tearing his ACL playing football.
