Doug joined Advance Sports and Spine Therapy in 2018 and practices at the Wilsonville location. He graduated in 2017 as a Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in Austin, Texas. Prior to Physical Therapy school, Doug attended Oregon State University and graduated with a Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science. Doug is dedicated to clinical excellence and continuously improving his physical therapy skill set to best serve his patients. He currently holds the following post-graduate certifications:
- MTC: Manual Therapy Certified
- CSCS: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
- FMS level 1: Certified in Functional Movement Screen
Doug utilizes a combination of manual therapy and functional movements to improve his patient’s conditions. He believes that optimum movement patterns are key in treating and preventing injuries. Doug enjoys treating a wide variety of patients, from helping high school athletes return to their sport to decreasing pain in an aging population so that they can maintain active lifestyles. He is currently working on becoming Certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. In the future, he also plans to further specialize in sports and orthopedic injuries with board certifications.
